Well, its already been a month(9 actually) since we chatted at the amazing 2024 UCI Mont-Sainte-Anne World Cup... and we're still buzzing!
What an incredible downhill final event right? A fairy tale story with Troy Brosnan, the last man down a muddy track, claiming the fastest time and winning the gold ! Just jaw dropping wow.
For us, the Mont-Sainte-Anne event was also a chance to showcase what a well organized grassroot volunteer trail building crew can do for World Cup events and ultimately, the whole MTB industry.
DId you know that both the DH and XC tracks were maintained and brought up to snuff with over 2000 hours of volunteer trail building. TBMSA used Dig !t to mobilize, structure and reward their volunteer Trail Builders.
Without them, the Mont-Sainte-Anne trail network simply does not exist. The same holds true in all mountain bike communities. Volunteer Trail Builders are absolutely essential to the trails eco-system.
